In this time of COVID-19 Workforce Connections received a grant that we are doing called The Lay-off Aversion Program . The pilot is a wage reimbursement for small businesses with less than 50 employees that have kept their staff on payroll. It's up to 50% reimbursement for wages starting on 4/20/20 until the individual employee cap has been reached. It's not a loan so the funds don't have to be paid back. Together Lincoln County Regional Development (Jeff Fontaine) and Lincoln County Workforce nominated several local business. The business that was chosen was Central Media. Lincoln County Commissioner Varlin Higbee and Lincoln County Workforce Program Director/Manager Launa Chouquer presented Ben Rowley with a check on 6/30/2020.
